We are so excited to have Google Classroom up and running. Please watch for an email from you students teacher with their email address and password. To get to Classroom please click on the link on the right. You should come to a page that looks like this:
On this page your student will need to type in their email address. The email address is the students first name then a . then the first initial of their last name and some numbers @stu.nebo.edu (i.e. email@example.com)
That will pull up a page that looks like this:
Students username is their lunch number and the password will be provided by your students teacher.
This will open the students email. In the top right corner there is a Google app menu that looks like 3 rows and 3 columns of squares.
Students should select more and it will allow more apps and will look like this:
They should select Classroom.
That should bring up a screen that looks something like this (the colors may be different depending on the teacher – the example below is Mrs. Dimmick’s class):
Select the title of the class above the teacher’s name. For instance in Mrs. Dimmick’s class you would select 2015-2016 school year.
You should have a page that looks something like this (again, the colors may be different depending on the teacher)
Each student has gone through this signing in process at school. Please let your classroom teacher know if you we can help you.
Update: We have added some more information and pictures based on feedback we have received from parents about trying to get their students onto Google Classroom. We have been blown away with the kindness and understanding we have received from parents as we try to get this up and running. Thank you so much!!
We are changing the order of math homework this week. Homework for page 65 will be taught on Thursday because of lunch working on Wednesday. Thanks!
This week there will be 4 math sheets taken from our math book. We will not be teaching the lessons in the number order from the book. Starting on Monday we will teach the lesson with homework on page 97, Tuesday will be page 71, Wednesday will be page 65, and Thursday will be page 77.
Here are some helpful keyboarding links. Third grade students are expected to type their writing test in February. Practicing at home would be really helpful.
Here are some good websites to keep practicing their keyboarding:

After our first week of homework we have decided to make a few changes. The composition notebook will come home on Mondays with a writing prompt. Please have your child work on it all week and return it on Friday. The math homework will follow our third grade calendar. Spelling/Word Work will start coming home on Tuesday. Please look for instructions in your child’s homework folder.
